Overview Big River United Energy, - Dyersville, IA, produces 110 million gallons of ethanol annually. It is a ICM/Fagen design facility. It was purchased by Big River United Energy, LLC September 2009.
Fifty one new jobs have been created with this facility along with a significant local economic impact.
The facility consumes 39 million bushels of corn from the region and provides an environmentally friendly, clean, renewable fuel, and 350,000 tons each year of valuable high quality livestock feed for local, regional and national markets.
The facility was joined together by Big River Resources, LLC; United Cooperative, and Rumbold & Kuhn, Inc. Big River Resources, LLC is majority owners and managing company for the facility.
The president and chief executive officers from the three investing companies, Raymond E. Defenbaugh, Big River Resources, David A. Cramer, United Cooperative, and Michael J. Rumbold, Rumbold & Kuhn, all have a common goal and the same vision about the future of the ethanol industry and believed the expereinces and services each company brings to the table will provide for a successful infrastructure around the Dyersville ethanol production facility.
